Mr Müller graduated with an M.B. Informatics from University of Applied Sciences, Wedel (near Hamburg) and began work as a developer for Softship in 1989 where he was responsible for developing a range of shipping applications. He became a project manager in 1991 and general manager in 1994. In 2000, he was appointed an executive director with specific responsibility for the production department, customer support, project management for dedicated accounts, consulting, application design. In addition, he is responsible for finances since 2007. Mr Müller is also a member of the supervisory board of Airpas Aviation AG.
Mr Wolff began his career as a software developer and has worked with Softship since 1989. He was project manager for the section midrange and client/server computing for shipping companies, liner agencies and terminals, and was appointed general manager in 1994. He became a member of the board of directors in 2000. He is responsible for administration, production and sales at Softship, and still takes on customer projects as project manager, because to be as close to our customers as possible is a vital element of our company’s policy.
Lars Fischer is Global Sales Director and also Managing Director of the Asia Pacific headquarters of Softship. Educated at Germany’s University of Applied Sciences in Wedel, Lars began working for Softship as a software engineer in 1994. He became a business consultant and project manager in 1996 and has headed-up Softship Data Processing, Singapore, since 1998. He is responsible for Singapore’s commercial and technical staff of around 25 experts and for the group’s sales & marketing strategy world-wide.
Lars Hansen is Customer Support Manager and has been with Softship since 2007. He graduated at the Helmut Schmidt University in Hamburg as Master of Science in Business administration. Additionally he is a graduated e-commerce manager and specialist in ITIL. He has extensive experience in leading consultancy teams, managing large IT projects.
Dirk Selter is a senior project manager and has been with the company since 1994. After his graduation as a computer scientist from University of Applied Sciences in Wedel, he started as software developer at Softship, then became project manager for individual projects, and has been involved in IT consultancy and project management for many of Softship’s international clients.
Mr Brenken is a lawyer who was admitted to the Bar in 1977. He is a partner with Schemmel & Partners where his areas of expertise include transport statutes, freight forwarding, carrier's liability, cargo and insurance law as well as international sales law including all related legal fields; consulting and drafting of freight forwarding and logistics contracts; drafting of liability agreements with forwarding companies and detailed elucidation of all insurance issues connected with these.
Dr Hermann J. Klein, born 1957, graduated in Mechanical Engineering and Marine Engineering at the Technical University of Hanover. For several years he worked as a research scientist and engineer at the leading German marine and power plant institutes. In 1992 he received his Doctor of Engineering degree from the Technical University of Hamburg-Harburg. The Bremen Lürssen shipyard and MWB shipyard preceded his appointment as a Member of the Executive Board of Germanischer Lloyd AG in 2003.
Since January 2006 Dr Klein has served as the Chairman of the Executive Board of the German Society for Maritime Technology (Schiffbautechnische Gesellschaft, STG). Dr Klein also holds several advisory board and supervisory board seats.
Mr Nocke studied computer sciences before working as a software developer and then managing director of a well-known German software company. He founded Softship in 1989 and retired from full-time involvement in the company in 2006.
