Following the launch of our new LIMA web portal, all Softship LIMA web applications are now directly accessible through a standard web browser from any internet connected PC. This newly designed facility gives all our clients the ability to access, maintain and administrate their Softship applications, such as SMARTS, direct from their desktop. In addition, our clients can use the new portal to maintain their own master data, user profiles, EDI settings and security.
LIMA web portal can be used alongside our recently announced Customer Service Centre which will give our clients’ customers web access to search for slot availability, review schedules and rates, book space, complete shipping instructions, track cargoes and review related account details. Two further modules - shipping instructions and cargo tracking - have been launched recently. The remaining will follow in the summer.
Our new portal can be easily customised to reflect your own identity allowing you to present a professional and individual face to your staff and customers.
As with all Softship web applications, this new portal is totally secure and you retain complete control over your own information and data.
We will continue developing the LIMA web portal throughout this year to add further features and functionality.
If you would like to discuss this new facility, please contact sales@softship.com.

Softship – the global provider of liner and agent software applications – reported a strong set of financials for 2011.
The group’s turnover grew to more than €8.8 million representing a 13% plus increase on the €7.8 million achieved in 2010. Correspondingly, profit before tax also jumped from €700,000 in 2010 to at least €800,000 in 2011.
As a result, the management will suggest a dividend of €0.16 per share at this year's annual general meeting (€0.15 in 2010).
Commenting on the results, Softship Executive Director, Thomas Wolff said:
“Despite the weak shipping markets we have achieved a strong set of accounts which we attribute largely to the continuing loyalty of our global customer base as well as our efforts to attract additional liner operators and agents into the Softship family. When markets are tough, operators seek mechanisms to streamline their core processes and reduce overhead. We have been able to demonstrate that implementing our solutions leads to much needed savings and efficiencies.”
Please note that the above mentioned figures are preliminary and not yet certified. The complete annual report for 2011 will be available on 30 April 2012.
