Softship.Equipment allows you to take control of your world-wide equipment stock simply and efficiently. It manages stocks of any size including dry vans, special equipment, chassis, trailers, gensets and others. Softship.Equipment easily differentiates between equipment that is owned by you, owned by the shipper or leased from a third-party.
This module provides an accurate and easy-to-understand picture of your global equipment stock showing the equipment located in each terminal or depot as well as those items released to clients. Softship.Equipment tracks container movements in and out of the terminal or depot and monitors storage and handling fees. Associated information allows easy management of leased equipment including relevant contracts. Softship.Equipment will also calculate and analyse leasing costs and automatically reconcile invoices.
It also calculates demurrage and detention fees per box and automatically generates relevant invoices. This will maximise the use of your stock, improve your cash-flow and reduce errors, disputes and duplication.
Maintenance and Repair
Softship’s Maintenance and Repair app SMARTS is a web based tool that gives complete visibility and control over the repair and maintenance of your equipment. It closely manages your repair expenses and identifies mismatches between agreed and invoiced rates. SMARTS is designed to handle all types of equipment. Tariffs, repair estimates, surveys, work orders, repair status reports and invoices plus a range of useful statistics are all processed within this module.
Using SMARTS will speed-up the handling of your equipment repairs as estimates can be exchanged with repair depots using EDI or internet (ISO9897 compliant) with auto-approval limits defined by you. It will also auto-check for duplicate or irregular repairs and validate and reconcile invoices against pre-agreed tariffs. This allows you to maximise the use of your equipment ensuring containers are available for your customers.
