 Cargo tracking service for any kind of cargo

SOLAS requirements

We’ve been supplying our customers with a cargo tracking service for many years but we’ve now integrated it into a more comprehensive Web Operations Center that has been completely re-designed and updated.

Our cargo tracking facility is fully integrated with our LIMA software to allow carriers to customise supply chain events for their own customers. In other words, our customers (carriers) can set up a window for their own customers who can then log directly into our Web Operations Center to see the current status of their cargo.  This is a really useful customer-facing tool which adds direct value to the service a carrier can offer its customers. As a unique service, this facility allows the tracking of any cargo type including container, breakbulk and RoRo.

Besides cargo tracking, our Web Operations Center also provides a land operations function where a carrier can receive a direct input into its own database from terminal and quayside staff giving real-time status of cargo loaded or discharged.

 Growing our team to serve you better

Delivering high levels of customer service are at the heart of our business and we achieve this through employing talented, professional and knowledgeable people. We have recently augmented our Hamburg team with two new consultants and an additional member for our support function.

In Miami we have recently appointed Willem Wildschut to the key position of Business Development Manager. Willem has 18 years experience of the shipping industry, specifically logistics, pricing, cost control, marketing and accounting. This is alongside his vast experience of IT projects and software including business analysis, implementation and user training.

Willem joined Softship in 2008 as a senior consultant and has been extremely active in many projects for carriers and agents such as migration, EDI integration, business analysis, customisation and training. He became a team leader in 2013 and then project manager for one of our largest US-based projects in 2014.

Now that Willem is running our Miami office he is responsible for enhancing customer service for all our customers in the Americas, helping to grow our business and upskilling our US team.
